Mining Cargo Transfer - dirmaster0 - 01-24-2012
So I was advised that if I had someone selected while mining, my cargo would automatically transfer to their hold--but when I tried this with my miner character in Dublin, the mined ore would just end up in my hold. My ship is a Hegemon with a BMM ID.

The transferring of Ore only works when there is a mining bonus active and the transport is in close range. Are you sure you got all the right equipment, ID and IFF?

He said the ore ended up in his own hold, so I think the equipment is correct.
Other than that there's a maximum distance at which the team-mining works. It's somewhere at 0.7-1k. Not entirely sure, best ask a dev for details.

I remade the miner character and fixed the IFF to match ID correctly, I just need to rebuy Hegemon and Ill try it again tomorrow...hopefully it was just the mismatched rep and not a real bug :/

You also have to be in a group with your intended target.

But you do have to be within 1000 meters of the ship you're trying to fill. Some larger ships don't accurately show their distance from you because they're so big. So just try to be as close as possible to the ship you're trying to fill next time you mine.

No group needed. Just target the ship. Under 1K. ID and Tag match. Mining turrets. Then your all good.
