Just interested has anyone every ass kicked a GB in their Salvage friggate?
On paper it should be possible but I have had little success so far.
In addition. Seeing as the Junkers have no gunboat, how's about we get a GB sheild?

I would prefer to pay a ship mod designer 500 million credits or more to take the Salvager, trim it, make it more agile with a smaller profile and turn it into a Gunship for Junkers. Leave the Salvager as is.
Salvager cannot really destroy a GB, if you're lucky maybe, not one on one though that's for sure, as the other GB can always run away and is more powerful and more agile at the same time. The Salvager cannot be thought of as a Gunboat. It's a highly defensive transport.

Why call it a frigate then? A frigate is more powerful than a gunboat.

That means it can survive for an extended period of time, which is its job, not that it can take on more powerful ships with less armour. The other smaller GBs simply run circles around the Sallie without taking much damage, they also have a disruptor so they can cause you issues and can run away from you at anytime on a whim and there is nothing you can do about it but Q_Q.

It has to do with firepower: Gunboats have it, and the Salvager doesn't. Even with full Type 2s + Debs, gunboats will simply out-DPS you while still being more agile.

Sally's have GB turrets, not Transport Turrets.
I've seen a Sally kill Hone's barghest once - and he's supposed to be a badass, so *shrug* who knows.
