Cargo piracy - jakub963 - 02-14-2012 So, yeah. Since the late .85 i noticed that pretty much ONLY use of ptrans and other alternatives is by junkers in omega and sigmas, thats for hunting ore haulers. Another use is the anti-cap rule protection which is partialy usefull mostly in Liberty. I would really like to ask cargo from regular haulers or haggle with them if they "dont have any cash" but in the end i have no use for the cargo because the unlawfull selling points are greatly lacking. Now for the point of this thread: 1- If somebody have different experience, please tell me. Is robbing players of their cargo instead of cash possible. As in... If there even are places where the pirates can sell the loot with decent profit. 2- Do you think cargo piracy should be promoted more than cash piracy? 3- etc. Cargo piracy - Veygaar - 02-14-2012 |RR are cargo pirates. Have a smuggler than can sell it at the lawful point after you get it. Team work = Profit;) Cargo piracy - Hone - 02-14-2012 It can be VERY profitable, if you work with a junker or freelancer. But it is a bit hard for pirates who can only sell it on unlawful bases. Cargo piracy - Govedo13 - 02-14-2012 It is more worth then Credit piracy- Get miners- unload their ore- load on your barge- sell for profit. Or sell with smuggler around the Galaxy. It works nice. We do it all the time. Check Mollys. Cargo piracy - jakub963 - 02-14-2012 Hmm... Quite profitable but at the same time requires team work. That kinda negates itself because you have to split profit, unless you demand whole cargo of the hauler wich can be seen as unreasonable demand. Also, didnt the Smugler ID got "tweaked" that its now KOS for lawfuls..? Cargo piracy - Hone - 02-14-2012 ' Wrote:unless you demand whole cargo of the hauler wich can be seen as unreasonable demand. Also smuggler ID got removed, FL ID only now. Cargo piracy - jakub963 - 02-14-2012 I said "can be"... I dont know what is said wrong... Either its more profitable than i said it is... Or demanding whole cargo is fine (trader will whine even if pirate asks a million) Cargo piracy - Veygaar - 02-14-2012 Demanding all cargo is not against the rules at all... Do it to your hearts content. Cargo piracy - Not Espi - 02-14-2012 Everything in disco is profitable, if you do it right. Cargo piracy - ryoken - 02-14-2012 ' Wrote:So, yeah. I am not against cargo Piracy. But both sides need to understand RP it. Ask for all cargo and transport will not pay. Alot will dump/shoot it. Which by Pirate demand of "drop cargo or dai" is following demand, and if shot after can be sanctioned for it. So watch your wording. "Give me/us all/50% cargo please or we will get nasty" is much better. Also remember killing the transport will not net you its full cargo either. So ask for an amount just under that. I ask for 10-20% myself. Most pay that. After all 4000-4500 cargo still gets trader alot of cash right? So be nice, do not ruin traders day, and you will find you earn alot more. |
