Why? Because people actually do learn how to read/write in English better. And if they already know English, they generally improve it if they take the time and effort to write more.
EDIT: I re-read the title. It says "Video" so my bad. Although, you could kinda consider this video.. since the game is like.. well, a very long interactive video.
