RNC/BDM/LNS using junker bases - ryoken - 03-27-2012
As topic states. Rhinland, and Liberty lawful ships using junker bases to launch attacks inside their enemies space, and re-stock.(yes i have seen it/screened it)
So what you all think? OORP? Game mechanic abuse? Just plain stupid?

What you've described cannot be oorp or abuse since they are clearly inrp actions which do not break the server rules. You can only place your opinion on whether it is good or bad RP.

Hmmm, Junkers are shady people. I suppose if you bribe them enough, you'd get away with lots of things. But then again, you'd be giving them a trump card in the form of blackmail.

If you have a problem with it, don't whine about it out of character, deal with it IN CHARACTER and DO something. It's a ROLEPLAYING Server. ROLEPLAY.
Edit: Also if you have screenshots of BDM| using Junker Bases as 2IC I would like to be notified of this.

not against the rules. I don't know if it's against RP--junkers land on house bases, why cant the houses land on junker bases? Personal opinion is it's lame to use any bases in a foreign house as a launching point for attacks against that house (the locals wouldn't want it for several reasons), but the game seems to depend on this construct at multiple levels (junkers and zoners) so I don't see what can be done about it really.
Maybe congress will FR5 all of BDM and whoever the LN faction is, file a complaint and see what happens

Screens are pointless as Admins will not FR5 them for like a month or more.
Junkers/Congress have said a billion times no caps to use their bases, but they keep doing it anyway. Again still no FR5's(broken system IMO)
Both Rhienland, and Liberty navy constantly harrass junkers, but then dock at their bases. So fracking right i find it OORP.
Giving you screens of them docking will do nothing. You will just tell them Character A spotted you, next time kill him first. I like to keep my spys names a secret.
All this will do is get caps camping junker bases looking for these hostile ships. That will get junkers pissed, and they will complain. Next thing we know indies are shooting junkers as hostile, just like the HF has done.
It is a few morons that power game and ruin it for rest of server. Just remember that the next time a Rogue/hacker/hessien/outcast/junker.....whatever base is being camped by lawfuls. You allow their enemies to dock? They will camp and watch the base.

Nothing happens. I have given out tons of screens as proof. On average 1 in 30 get an FR5, and it takes so long that it is a lost cause, and the player/character is no longer even around.
As for RP'n the situation? everyone bitched about it. Because RP is for the navy to set up a fleet to watch the bases. We all know how much that pisses off the "official" factions that own said base.

We have instructions not to base off of junker bases.
It's rather funny to see that this Q.Q thread rose from your lone cruiser tailing a BDM uboat, then getting killed by a pair of BDM uboats in the badlands.
