I have noticed for a long time now that there is little or no activity from Corsairs these days.
Seriously? What happened?
Corsairs were a feared force in Sirius. They have great ships and many possibilities to pirate and raid. AND YET they camp at Crete and do NOTHING.
Even if Liberty also camps at Manhattan (and makes formations with their cap ships) they are still active?
Why?
Where did the might of the Corsairs go? No one takes Corsairs seriously anymore when they encounter them or play as them...at least I don't see anyone who does.
I would like to know your views.
Why are they inactive? Why are they lazy and do not do anything productive?

I think you have your factions mixed up.
Though, like i usually say in these sorts of threads.. People, do not fear, we are working on the outcast factions' activity and such. A plan has been made and is in motion. Hopefully everything will work out as planned..

Several others (5 or more) "Oh no lets not, lets stay here at Crete. There are too many Hessian ships."
Really? Too many Hessians? Coming from the pilots that own caps where the Hessians that were on the server had only ships up till Gunboats?

I've noticed a decrease in server population from when I left for a little while (a hiatus if you will...)
Now, at times when the server would usually be at peak (222/225) its in the 150's.
Its the whole server, not just these large factions like the Navy and Corsairs.

Even a year ago this was going on.
I don't QUITE think that is the whole reason.
Again, why the laziness of going on and camping at Crete.

Its a cycle... No new developments for a while ----> population down -----> new developments -----> population exponential increase.

Alot are waiting for update 4. As such the server numbers have dropped a little bit.
Corsairs are around though. I had my sair in Omega's with 2 others just 45 minutes or so ago. I was pirated on my Zoner by sairs about 2 hours ago also in Omega's.

There's certainly that. There's also a big difference based on time of year it seems.
