I happen to like quite a bit of EA games, I don't see the problem, other than the ME3 launch-day DLC

I would say some pharmaceutical international corporations are the biggest criminals in the globe but I am not sure if that falls under the "bad" category and I also don't want to open up a political discussion.

As for EA, it is a mere symptom of greed. If you want more quality and less greed, then the gamers need to organize themselves against corporations like EA. In the way we have consumer unions in reality, etc.

I like a lot of EA games, what I don't like is the bombardment of marketing I have to go through every time I want to play.

Well, that poll had some 250.000 voters. Considering that most of those voters are us based and hardcore people who actually move their asses there to vote, it is a very significant number.

EDIT: And right after that news fell, EA and BioWare announced the new DLC for ME3...
