Police and foreign matters - SeaFalcon - 04-06-2012 Just a example: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=122700 Since when does the Police of any nation, country, house and so on change the laws of import and export of products. Mostly this is done by people that actually do more than just keep security and bring justice to those that by law need to be brought down. So what have I been missing out on? GRP passing the King here? I have noticed this with several houses not just Gallia right now. And this post is also not to drag the GRP down. Police and foreign matters - Laerethe - 04-06-2012 Sounds like someone is trying to monopolize bases. Not gonna happen. These things will happen imo: a) Smugglers b) More depots to retrieve cryocubes from(in Sirius space) c) Fixes under 1.2 Its gonna be difficult to enforce. Admins don't want one player to have control over every other faction. Just my 2cents. Police and foreign matters - Jack_Henderson - 04-06-2012 It's a move that is clearly disrupting gameplay. It shows in my opinion that Gallia is not yet ready to be the only source for a commodity needed for base building. I would ask the Devs to reconsider whether an alternative product to Crycubes could be allowed which is available outside of Gallia. Seems that every new toy in this games finds some people who say: "No, you can't play with it because I have the power to restrict access to it". Police and foreign matters - Govedo13 - 04-06-2012 Well it gives smugglers nice work to do. Gallic factions were always meh and contra-productive- so nothing new there. Not about that as I said. It's about Police handling such matters and not the ones above them. Since Police doesn't deal with import and export of products and change the laws about them. Police and foreign matters - SparkyRailgun - 04-06-2012 So take some ships with you and pew the GRP until they give up trying to monopolise; simple. Police and foreign matters - AeternusDoleo - 04-06-2012 If it proves to be a problem, it can have a very negative consequence to Gallia. But yea, restricting trade and establishing law is NOT the perogative of the police, it's something the government does. That'd be the perogative of King Charlie. The police and navy enforce the law, they do not make it (even when in many houses, government and military are played by the same players out of convenience). Until I see RP to the contrary, however, I'm going to assume the Gallic lawfuls are in agreement on this one. If not, lobbying might sway a mind or two here. If it proves to disrupt other players ability to build bases (which I doubt since it only takes a -fighter- load of cryocubes to make one) an additional sale point for cryocubes can be set with a small tweak to the economy override and a server restart. Something to keep in mind, just in case someone's having an oorp power trip here... Police and foreign matters - sindroms - 04-06-2012 Smuggling will finally have some activity. I am all up for this. Police and foreign matters - Govedo13 - 04-06-2012 Well people could hire the Council to deliver to them such items- they need activity, and they have heavy hitters to clear the exists. |
