Today this idea came into my mind.
May be someone before me have already discussed this but I didnt saw anything about this so I sate this here.
I see people dont care about lives as they respawns back to base. Huge caps fleet disoriented goes to raid. They die and get back to home.. Loose nothing.

How about a death toll. It will depend upon classes/ships. So that people can value thier lives. For example:
Battleship/Carrier : loose 15-20 mill
Battlecruiser/Cruiser dies : loose 10-15mill
Gunboat : 5/10 mill
Transports/Liners : 2-4 mill
Fighter / Bomber : 500k - 2 mill.

If they have cash onboard penalty will be charged by lower limit. Absence of cash will charged by equipments and that will be by upperlimit.

For training there will be submission to avoid death.
For battle you can surrender(if accepted by both) and leave as per rules.

Advantages:
1) Attacks / Raids / Battles will be coordinated/ organised.
2) Better play environment.
3) As the pirate demand(in most cases) are same as the death toll for transports they will have to pay insted of saying "Go ahead and Kill me, I wont pay"
4) For transports they will(i think) travel organised.

Disadvantages:
I dont know. Yours to find out.

Disco is a game, not a second job.

Not everyone can maintain that level of cash to keep it up.

We loose ammunition, regens, and the 4 hour rule.

Less restrictions please, this just forces people to waste time trading more, just so their equopment doesnt get screwed. Yes, OORPness. Oh well. Gotta deal with it.

Instead of punishing the community, I think educating would be better. After all, no decent RPer will ever chose death if there's a sensible way to avoid it. (Baring a few exceptional RPs)

We just need better roleplayers, which is easier said than done, and unfortunately has no real way to achieve.

Strange how this isn't being used as an argument against player bases, which actually are "dead on death". :P

Player bases however are not a requirement to play this game. Our ships are. :P

Ah, equally good point. You are the naughty boy to Jammi's messiah-ness.

After launching update 4 i logged in once in my cau8 legate. I played a mission of 3.4 mill took like 3-4 mins and after missions ends i repair and sell loots, i see a profit of 12 mill. I admit i was close to death and out of regens. I also saw some other's blue massages. After that i switched to my carrier and play mission in hamshire.....I died. So after that I joined with another cap and fight on.
Earning money is not hard really specially now.
If a lf group up with caps and works as interceptor then it will be much easier.

caps are expensive. Death of battleship causes 10 mill which is very small compared to the ship price.

with all that battles and so many caps around I think its bad idea. people with camp bases and quick docking to prevent death. so NO! never do that thing. its silly
