Rest in Peace Jack Tramiel - RonG777 - 04-10-2012 http://www.ingame.msnbc.msn.com/technology...y-age-83-690158 Jack Tramiel, founder of Commodore Computers, passed away yesterday. He was 83. I thought I would share this news to the community, as the old Commodore computers played a big role for many people of the 1980's in having access to affordable personal computers that rivaled against the more expensive PCs of the day. I know of a lot of people in the computer field today that got their start from the old CBM computers . . There is no doubt that Commodore is still loved and cherished by many. I still have my old VIC-20 with data tape recorder and my C-128. Every once in a while when I am home, I can still fire them up and they work just as good as the day I got them . . . So this is my thank you to Jack, for helping create a wonderful product that I still love to this day . . |
