Bad Traders? Every pirates nightmare! - Eternal - 04-18-2008

Greetings to all.I've had similar encounters of this kind before , but I have never posted it here , 'cuz I though to myself *Hey , it realy is hard to be trader and getting money is important*. So most of the time I ignore such acts.Until now...I was sorta in a bad mood today so this time I desided to show you one of the worse traders , I've ever delt with. The situation is this. I'm at the TL at Cali (The NY JH / Mojave one) and I'm taxing players there with my Rogue GB , ID - Pirate ID . There are only small , started traders passing there and I only tax them 200k . I was just 'bout to leave this system and head to S13 when a "Whale" trade-ship leaves the disrupted TL.I say to myself (lucky brake) and try to stop him.I admit it wasn't one of LONG LONG LOOOONG speaches I give with my [BU]-char (Why are we still not accepted ) , but it was just in the lines of something a pirate would say.Well .. here are the results.

Result Number One - [Image: screen45ry5.th.png]

Number Two - [img=http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6978/screen44cv6.th.png]

Well , after he F1'nd I sorta got abit angry. And decidet to wait to him to come back.I knew he would eventually come back. After ...say...10min...he logged again and this is the result.

Seems that he didn't even consider listening to me.I was going to expain that F1'ing in this kind of situation makes it worse..not better , but he didn't listen.I want to ask that there are NO sancrions or anythink else to this player.Just someone to explain to him the *F1* rule and to advise him NOT to it again.

...report him. He F1'd not once, but twice. He brings shame to those traders of us who actually RP, and while we'll try to squirm our way out of not paying would much rather stop, talk for awhile, and eventually pay than get away scot free.

Bad Traders? Every pirates nightmare! - Dantrithor - 04-18-2008

Hmm.. i was around there at that moment. I am the guy who went through the gate lane 2 mins before him, and who talked to you. I just left the system after he said that thing about SA, and saw the log out message. Dont know why, i supposed that had happened.

Its a pity traders behave like that. I have been taxed more times than i can remember in my trading ships/lately, my Luxury Liner, and i try to roleplay. You can have a bad day, but some people just has a bad day.. every day.

If i find him i might try to explain him that rule. But if he does that to me when i abandon my LF character, if i do.. well, i might not be so kind.

The F1 rule be be explained to him in another part of the forums ... And in future, if you want to post a
sanction, do it in the correct forum. This is an open trial, do not do it ...

So I got the wrong place to post this ? Sorry 'bout that. But still F1 two times makes even the calmest (wich I am surtanly not) person loose his temper.

Bad Pirate!

"You're a lvl 70" Really? is THAT good RP too?

You've both done wrong, but his MAY have been worse.

Also, where is this trader on your screens? how far away WERE you really? Trader could have been docked.

you got some 'splainin to do.

Bad Traders? Every pirates nightmare! - Dantrithor - 04-18-2008

He was in the middle of the tradelane. I had went through there a minute ago, and after taking the next not-disrupted tradelane, i saw the trader on the other side getting into the lane i had just left.. Then, i saw the comm begin.

That was fact. And guess is that Eternal didnt allow the trader to run for 20 km to dock while talking.

And yes, im not eternal, but i saw it, so i give my 2 cents, so its not only him against the trader, in case that one even bothers to come.

PD: He didnt say bad RP, he said he violated the F1 rule instead of just trying to run away or whatever other non-illegal option he had.

Bad Traders? Every pirates nightmare! - Tango - 04-18-2008

As far as i understand, we dont have a "level'o'meter" to scan. It's a in game only, so OORP to say "you are lvl 70' you are lieing" or something.

If it was with me, id report you back for bad rping.
Next time just accept the 500k or try a "drop cargo" way.

Bad Traders? Every pirates nightmare! - cmfalconer - 04-18-2008

I agree with Tango, that's actually what I was trying to say. Perhaps it wasn't clear, I apologize.

But from a trader, and a fairly well-traveled one, I will say that if a pirate came at me like you did, you'd be very hard-pressed to get any cash from me. I'd wave my hand out the airlock and boost to the next tradelane.

Nop again...

For the record, our ships are trully equipped with the "level'o'meter".
