i'm wondering what everyon's thoughts on ship classifications are..
Right now, Here's how i look at things:
BATTLESHIPS
Bretonnian Battleship
Liberty Dreadnought
Osiris
Kusari Battleship
Rheinland Battleship
Battlestar
Battlestar Advanced
Battlestar II
Cruisers
Bretonnian Destroyer
Liberty Cruiser
Rheinland cruiser
Huegnot
Kusari Destroyer
Gunboat/Bomber
Bretonnian bomber
Bretonnian Gunboat
Rheinland Bomber
Somtaww Gunboat
Rheinland Gunboat
I'm missing a lot of ships, but i'm going from the top of my head.. anyone have any comments?

Obviously as a man who campaigns a Huegenot I think it sort of slides in between
a cruiser and a full on battleship. It does however still have 14 turrets which makes
it, technically, more of a battleship than some than some of the classified ones.
It also lacks cargo space now. Not sure on the power output change, if any, though it
runs out of power fast if you try to fire everything at once.
One quick note, on all the larger ships the change in the manouvering thrusters (strafe)
is a great improvement. Thanks for that. you can get in and out of trouble so much
more easily.

PS not sure the Somtaaw and the Rhineland bomber fall into the same category....
PPS... Wolf. It came with that particular shield. I didnt have to buy one.

I would classify the Kiith Somtaww Gunboat as either a Light Gunship or a SHF (Super Heavy Fighter). It dosn't have the perks of a Gunboat, but it has the shield. It can only mount fighter weapons (Mine has Nomad Cannons and Skyblast Bs), and it's about as agile as a VHF. I like the thing; It's good vs. fighters, but it'll get eaten alive by any cap-ship. The Kiith Somtaww Gunboat just dosn't have heavy enough weapons to take on a cruiser, much less a battleship. I doubt it could take a gunboat either.
And yes, Kusari has a Cruiser, it's the Kusari Destroyer.

Your missing the Liberty gunboat. Oh and Rheinland Gunboat is a (yes you, the one more observent than wolf, guessed it) gunboat not cruiser. And there is a Rheinland Cruiser called... The Rhienland Cruiser. And your missing the Bretonian Gunboat and Kusari Gunboat.

Ignoring the more obvious "snide" remark from Dab...
I don't remember all the ships. Liberty Gunboat sipped my mind and I thought Rheinland didn't have a cruiser. My bad.. fixing that now. (Dab obviously you haven't learned the meaning of "humility" or "respect" so do learn those and keep the "know it all" attitude (yes it shows) to a minimum please? it's annoying to read this crap from you)

I think it would be nice (possibly in the next version or never, it's up to igiss) to have a cruiser version of the battlestar for people (like me) who don't like BS's.
I think they are too slow and clumsy, yes I know the reasons why they are and I agree with it, I'll stick to using cruisers/destroyers and will continue to do so. I know Cruisers/destroyers are slow and clusmy too, compared to some frieghters, but I can deal with that as they make up for it with more weapons mounts and are able to fight of ships that would vape a frieghter in a few shots.
Now this is just my opinion, ok
