News from the front - Nightfall - 04-05-2006 Incursion / Excursion around 19.30 hrs Zulu Time (GMT) Two AW pilots in Raven Claw Attack Fighters entered Bretonia from different points, purposely showing their presence and meeting in the very heart of the House - the New London System. After seeing the whole of the SF and TC vessels in service at the moment grouped in New London, they moved to Dublin to see if they're going to be followed, then set course to Leeds in a plan to engage some SF or TC there. Upon arriving in Leeds, an anonymous tip comes over the private channel of the wing commander that two TC ships were following into Dublin. They returned to engage but were intercepted by two SF vessels at the Dublin jump hole. One of the AW was unable to enter the jump so it stayed in Leeds, the other one came back for his wingman and they engaged in a fearsome skirmish with the Paladin of the SF, another Bretonia Destroyer class ship, at least four SF fighters and 2 or more freelancers seeking rewards for helping the SF. The fight was hopeless, but the two brave warriors of the AW managed to take down four SF fighters before dying themselves in a heroic act. News from the front - Nightfall - 04-05-2006 The Demise of the Endeavour around 20.30 hrs Zulu Time (GMT) The scanners on the [AW]BSA-MAUL picked up a signature from the [TC]Endeavour who earlyer this day managed to slip almost undetected into Omicron Alpha. The presence of the [TC] vessel was suspected following a report from 1st Lieutenant Red-XIII, a pilot patrolling the system, who thought he seen something strange after taking out a lone [TC] fighter in the system. Upon Maul's communication to the [TC]Endeavour to imediately leave AW space, and receiving no response, a general alert was raised. The Maul undocked and was awaited by the TC vessel in orbit around Malta blasting all it's weapons into the Maul's shields. After a short skirmish, the rest of the AW forces were just in time to see the invading vessel explode in a beautifull show of fireworks. Debris were falling on Malta for half hour time. The pilot 1st Lieutenant Red-XIII has received a commendation for the job well done and will soon be promoted if such exquisite performance continues. Red-XIII has also received a five million credit reward. News from the front - Raven_ipb2_import227 - 04-05-2006 And the plot thickens? :D Well I could only observe this from a distance, and no! long range scanners are not great at working out exactly what's going on, but this war does seem to be heating up. News from the front - Nightfall - 04-05-2006 I forgot to mention that long after the two glorious deaths of AW pilots in Leeds, long range scanners kept picking up SF and TC vessels exploding for no apparent reason. The only conclusion at AW Command is that must have been the supernova mines left over the field of engagement were still active or there was a skirmish between the TC and SF pilots against the freelancers who possibly claimed the rewards and were refused payment. News from the front - Fellow Hoodlum - 04-06-2006 Yeah, just the troops letting of a bit of steam after a job well done. Hoodlum :P News from the front - Angel - 04-06-2006 Man, everyones to broke to hire Mercs in this war, I hate sitting on the sidelines  , not when there where Tons of ships in Tau-31, though I did give the " Random Missle Treatment " to a few people ;) News from the front - Kane - 04-06-2006 I would run through as "mine-layer" but some people might get mad... I use Supernovas... >:) News from the front - Virus - 04-06-2006 I don't think you should put up things like this, Nightfall. It just seems to be... Well, egotistical. I'm kind of annoyed at this and I'm not even in the war. Maybe that's because I am unable to help TC as they are the Phantom's allies, and I do want to make the war more even. I mean, I've killed just about everyone on this server('cept Korrd and maybe Sam) at least once. I like killing, what can I say? ;) Anyway... Back to my point... Could cut down the war updates to a minimum. I have seen THREE in one day. ALL by you(or at least another member of AW). Though a nuetral view that doesn't say the AW slaughtered, the AW slaughtered, there was no contest, etc, I wouldn't mind every now and then. Like.... Kane! Sorry for sort of volunteering you.... >.> News from the front - Fellow Hoodlum - 04-06-2006 I wasn't aware that the hiring of mercs was a viable proposition. If it doesn't come with another set of rules to get our heads round ...Why not enter negotiations. Hoodlum :) News from the front - Kane - 04-06-2006 As far as I know, you can hire as many mercs as there are. Attmittedly, I think i'm the only true merc (angel was there, but the 8425th I tend to think of as more of a Counter-terrorism unit. CTs), but i'm always available... As long as i'm not bought already, that is. My fee's are a bit steep I guess (Few mill to join a side for a fight. More to help out for longer periods of time), but i'm open. Made an offer to the UGT, and they seemed interested... but (like everyone else it seems) they didn't have enough money to hire me. Ah well... I hope that sooner or latter you guys have some spare credits to hire out my services. |
