Raekur, you have actually READ all the rules haven't you?
5.2 If a player is attacked*, he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking. There are no restrictions for self-defense.
*For purposes of these Rules occasional shooting or shooting "for fun" does not count as an attack if it does not result in draining shields to 50% or lower or hull damage. Intentional ramming of any large ship is also considered an attack.
As for a lawful attacking an unlawful who refuses to follow his legal instructions, that is allowed via the ID. As long as the unlawful is above level 30 or hasn't got a Civilian ID. I quite fail to see where the confusion is coming from.

I'm fairly certain from other discussions that Raekur has actually read the rules, although you have a point- a little re-read might be in order. Due to the sometimes counter-intuitive arrangement of them, make sure to check everywhere a rule could possibly be when looking through a situation. In the worst case, someone quoted the 'no attacking traders without demand bit except for Terrorist/Phantoms' about the Phantoms, who, funnily enough, had Phantom IDs. Pay a little more attention to the context, but I don't blame you for missing it.

It's even highly recommened to CD your target before typing (of course when he didn't cut his engines completely). It always gives you few additional seconds of calm for typing what you want. Once it's done, you hit CD once again and type the next verse of your great poem.
As Boss said it isn't considered as attack.

Nope. As far as I know, this is not an attack.
In fact, the BPA does it before traders are scanned, in case they do have contraband.
