Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Toaster - 07-30-2012 So, I just bought M2:TW Kingdoms a few days ago (after having played the original Medieval for a while a few months ago), and I really like it. Does anyone still have / play it? Maybe online? Haven't tried playing online yet 'cause I'd probably get wrecked, but meh. Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Gentlefood - 07-30-2012 I played it to death back when it came out. Playing as Byzantium, getting flame-thrower infantry (with heavy armor and decent swords) and flame-thrower ships just make it so much fun to conquer everyone. I tested how effective the flame-thrower infantry were. One group of those units versus ~1400 melee fighters all rushing through a chokepoint. It was a slaughterfest. The few poor souls that managed to survive that hell were instantly broken and then cut down by the swords of said flamethrowers. The only thing you have to worry about using those units is friendly fire and making sure they don't 'shoot themselves' when enemies get too close. Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Toaster - 07-30-2012 I always played the Byzantines in the first Medieval. Still gotta finish the "short" campaign to unlock them in M2. Looking forward to them. Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - SnakThree - 07-30-2012 I have it, but haven't played it yet. Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Dab - 07-30-2012 Have it, been awhile since I played it last. Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Govedo13 - 07-30-2012 http://www.twcenter.net/ There are all the answers. My recommendation is to get a mod. Third age is nice Lord of the Rings mod- may be the best mod. The best Mod for vanilla game is Stainless Still for me. In TW centrer you would find many good mods. I cannot stand the vanilla after fighting the superior AIs, however for beginner it should be fun. Don't try to play with Indians or Aztecs etc- you would loose they are hardcore. About the online play- I used hamachi, because I found out my version somewhere in internetz. If you have any concrete questions PM me or check in Total War forums. I played it long time ago so I don't remember any precise steps but if you would google this you will more than sure find it Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Toaster - 07-31-2012 ' Wrote:No need, you can unlock all factions by editing a simple text file somewhere inside the game's folders. ![]() I'll unlock them the legit way anyway. Also gonna check out your link, Govedo. Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - Eduard - 07-31-2012 If you're gonna do that, I'll advice to play as Venetia, I do not know but they were the first faction I played with, and I had an easy start and expansion with them. It's true that I played on easy at that time. But they're still a great faction no matter what Grr, too bad I cannot play on multiplayer D: Actually I never managed to complete a game in Medieval 2 because of my...let's say wooden pc and of the lags in the end game...And Multiplayer would be to much Medieval 2: Total War (Kingdoms) - ... kur nubÄ—go? - 07-31-2012 I have it. Bought it with gold edition from amazon. But I prefer vanilla over kingdoms. Anyway it's required for a lot of mods out there. For example Stainless Steel, which is awsome. |
