The Pirate's Code

- Parley - Parley shall be given to those who request it, but only if pirate forces outnumber the enemy at least at a ratio of 2:1. Those given parley are to be shot down to 25% hull before negotiations. Those given parley will be given a chance to negotiate their surrender. Those who request parley but continue shooting or moving will have their request ignored. Pirates are not to destroy those who are given parley.
- No pirate shall willfully attack another pirate with an intent to kill. Those who do will be outcast* and shot on sight by other pirates.
- No pirate shall ever cruise in combat unless said pirate intends to flee.
- If pirate forces outnumber an un-engaged enemy at least 2:1, the pirates are to give the enemy a chance to flee** before engaging.
- Traders level 40 and under and not to be pirated.
- If pirating in groups, the one who receives the money is to distribute it evenly between partners. In the event of remaining credits, the one who receives the credits keeps it.
- Traders who carry any of the following goods:
- Gold
- Silver
- Diamonds
- Niobium
- Gold
- Smugglers carrying Cardamine or Synthetic Marijuana are to be escorted. If needed, the pirate will make a diversion to draw attention away from the smuggler's destination.
- A pirate can request several*** units of Cardamine or Synthetic Marijuana from smugglers, but will not engage if denied.
- If a smuggler is found smuggling artifacts and is affiliated to the Corsairs, they are to be requested to drop their cargo, and destroyed upon refusal.
- If a smuggler smuggling artifacts is not affiliated to the Corsairs, they are to be questioned until they give a satisfactory**** answer. If the answer is not satisfactory, the smuggler is to drop their cargo, and be destroyed upon refusal.
- Pirates are not to be found gambling their booty. Punishment is twenty lashes across the back.
- No pirate is to deny other pirates of rum, with the exception of rum shortages.
- No pirate is to waste rum. Punishment is death.
**Flee as in run away, but not in a retreating manner. Those who choose to flee do not have to leave the system.
***Several meaning 1 to 5 inclusive.
****Satisfactory is dependent upon independent pirates, and is left to personal judgment.
OOC: Remember, these are not a set of rules for Liberty's pirates, but rather, guidelines. I really don't want to see us going around killing every lawful we see without RP. I really couldn't care less if you choose to ignore these things; they're for those who would like to improve their RP.

Mon ami, this is lunacy.
These ridiculous Rules you would instate? You are assuming that we have no honor, that it needs to be forced upon us! We are pirates, thieves, smugglers, assassins and rogues. There is no honor among thieves.
The so called Lawfuls show us no such considerations, why must we instate these restrictions upon ourselves?
Our strength is in subterfuge, suprise, fear and mercilessness. We would not be given parley by them.
Any one of us is an asset to his friends, and a thorn to his enemies. That is enough.
I will not weaken myself to honor those who show us none. I will have no part in this.
