Being whom I am I see it as a sort of social responsibility to be a cheeky fellow. On more than one occasion I've found myself in a position of fleeing with the local constabulary hot on my heels. A move that I've dropped more than once is to kill the 'ol engines, flip about and CD the fellows giving me chase.
Oh but how they dislike that!
My question: If I'm fleeing from a fight and I pull that move am I performing all manner of re-engaging? Furthermore, if I've not yet been engaged and I pull that stunt, once I engage my cruise engines again am I now fleeing the fight?
I have my own two cents on the subject, but I'm curious as to the opinions o' folks smarter than I (re: most everyone).

Personally, I think that your cd-tactic is pretty slick.
Bravo! I like that kind of thinking outside of the proverbial box.
But methinks that it could be interpreted by some as being a form of re-engagement.

i like it, its like tossing the proverbial banana peel over your shoulder as you run away, and you dont wanna do damage, just slow them down

Surely it could only be classed as a re-engagement if you took persuer's sheilds down to 50%, which I believe is impossible with any Cruise Disruptor. That's how I interpreted the rules anyway.

Sadly, a cruise disrupter counts as a full attack. It's stupid, but if you fire a cruise disrupter, engage cruise, then cruise disrupt him again, it's reengagement, but it's more of a technicality than a real rule..

If he follows you... then you can do this... he can just let you go and you MUST leave the system... if he decides to follow you instead.. you are "being chased" and you can re-engage with everything.

The fleeing player must leave and may not re-enter the system where the fight took place with any of the characters on his/her account(s) while the enemy (player or players involved in the fight) remains in the system, but no more than 4 hours.
However, the fleeing player can re-engage at will if chased.

Just be careful with that bloody EK, that you don't hit a star or some other larger heavenly object!
