Advice from the old timers! - Slainte - 05-23-2008 Hello there, I havnt been on the mod long but am realy enjoying it. But some advice is needed. I have a freelancer ID and i currently fly a Tiger Shark which i find great. It handles most NPC,s just fine even though the low gun and shield limit.I even have a fair go at nomads and can handle the fighters just fine, but anything bigger is out. So, a heavier ship is needed. When exploring i see all sorts of really good gunboats etc but the question is.....What would be accepetable for a freelance pilot to fly ??? Being freelance i would think pretty much anything would go if you can buy it, but only to a limit . BH bombers would be ok but the BH guild gunboat would be pushing in my opinion. Any ideas guys ??? Thanks in advance Advice from the old timers! - CCI45-px/Probe149 - 05-23-2008 Uhmmm, Kusari Explorer? It's meant for exploration, so.... Freelancers should not take any unlawful Gunboats. Advice from the old timers! - JIVA - 05-23-2008 no matter what ship you buy. it must be reflected in your RP. - so flying a tigershark means that you are somewhat friendly to the IMG. - that makes you rather unfriendly to the outcasts allready. you can choose now to strengthen that affiliation to the IMG ( and use their gunboat ) or you turn slightly away from it again and get a civilian ship untill you choose your affiliation again. so, no matter what ship you fly ( from the lowest level LF to the biggest battleship ) the RP requirement stays the very same. - my suggestion is an IMG gunboat if you want to upgrade big time, cause you allready fly IMG. - a BHG gunboat is unlikely and so is a BHG bomber, cause you appear not to have any business with the BHG, so they won t sell you their gear. Advice from the old timers! - Slainte - 05-23-2008 Good points guys. Ill take them onboard. Thanks again |
