Well i think its not needed. as if someone pm you it might be for RP.. and well if someone herras you then just block him. its available as command. In my view it would have more disadvantages rather then advantages. but well thats me.

/ignore <charname> [<flags>]

Ignores chat/messages from a certain player

Options <charname>: Name of the character you want to ignore. It's case insensitive. Options <flags> (not a mandatory parameter):

p - only affects private chat
i - only partial match of <charname>, e.g. "ooRP|" for "ooRP|Pie-Rat"

A good ideea is to allow pm cross-system or adiacent systems....mesaging from gallia to omega it is a bit oorp even with the most advanced syfy technology of subspace comunication seen in the most cocky movie ever made

you're an idiot that doesn't know how to read [Image: emotikeen-smile.gif]

the objective here is to get a simple, quick command to disable all private messaging (green text). Nobody wants to put like 20 dudes in ignore (and it would already be annoying to have to write their name correctly) WHILE fighting, and after the fight to remember the name of these 20 you blocked earlier and unblock them.

a simple, efficent comment like /pme or /pmd would fix the issue. Private messages are an annoyance during fights.

I would suggest that having people PMing you and sirupting what you're doing in the middle of a fight is highly annoying.

In an intense duel or a furball, especially flying a fighter, you're not necessarilly going to have time to respond. Being able to flick the ability for people to PM you off when you enter a fight, would be extremely useful.

I find that I often gets swamped with PMs, particularly while fighting. I would really like that to stop being an issue. having my screen filling with green text isn't helpful.

I would also rather not just add a load of people to the ignore list either. That means that for each one in a fight, you'd have to type /ignore <name>. Then remember how many people you added to the ignore list, and /delignore each one when you're finished.

Having a more streamlined method of temporarily switching PMs off would be a really good idea.

I am.

Anyways, I never got annoyed by PMs during fights. Not hard to ignore them for me. But if Cannon finds some time to add those commands, why not?

RE: Disable PMs..Indeed. - Soul Reaper - 11-04-2012

Kinda my fault I didn't add the details as to why (Alley and Joe seem to have explained it well enough anyway) although I thought that I didn't have to since it was quite obvious, I even put in some of the skype chat to give a hint.

>_>
<_<

Cannon pls

Disabling PM's? Hell no.
Option to auto ignore all incoming PM's on command? Yes.
