Liberty Navy vs Rheinland Military - Lobster - 11-29-2012

It has been far too long sense we have seen a major organized clash.
This is a spur of the moment event for some good and dirty full fleet combat.
Everyone is welcome to participate!
Players may join either fleet on the spot, though signing up is highly recommended.
Liberty will be fielding a larger fleet, you will see why below.
Operation Clean Sweep
The Liberty Navy has detected an increase of Rheinland activity in the Hudson System for the past week. No intel is directly available as to what is behind the buildup, but with Gallia looming on one horizon, the distraction of a possible Rheinland undertaking is unacceptable. Naval Command has decided to launch a recon in force to clear out whatever Rheinland elements are operating in Hudson, and forestall any possible Rheinlandic operations in the system.
This is a simple mission: The Liberty Navy has more then enough ships to slap the Rheinlanders into submission. The Sixth Naval Fleet, based in Texas, is detaching several high level elements to conduct this mission.
Below is the list of ships Sixth Fleet has seen fit to assign to this sortie. Both tactical and strategic support will be present for this mission.

The war is not going well. Liberty has had a firm grip on the border worlds sence the start of the conflict, and they do not seem to be relenting. Operation Smokestack is Rheinland Military High Command's answer both the Liberty Navy's continued hold on Hudson, and the now well defined roll of Gallia in the war to come. This operation is not a end all, be all; far from it. Operation Smokestack is a diversionary feint using a mix of secondary fleet ships to attract the attention of the Liberty Navy, and keep them focused on the possibility of a Rheinland offensive. The ships selected for this mission are from the strategic reserve and various domestic commands. In poor condition though they may be, the Rheinland Flotte is still a force to be reckoned with.
This will not be an easy operation. Intel has no direct estimates of Navy presence in the area, but as Liberty is a house that can wage war with two nations at once, the possibilities are clear. While the ships Rheinland is fielding are not the best, it is imperative that the bulk of the fleet survives this diversionary operation. Rheinland has far fewer ships then Liberty, and every loss hurts.

Trying to get a bit of organization on both sides with this one. Obviously this isnt a big deal as the event is only in one and a half days, but lets have some fun shall we?
