Pilfered goods - TonyRistar - 12-04-2012 1800 Standard Sirius Time, New London Log initiating. ... .. . Password required :********** Terminal open. Welcome, Mr. Ristar So it starts. After a year in the omicrons making myself filthy rich, I've decided to come back to Sirius. Its time for an upgrade. I need a base of operations. Some place I can operate from that can store my 'captains yacht'. There is a reason why I like Bretonia. The elegance, the racing history....the seldom produced high security royal cruise liners. Beautiful ships...docking bays, heavy armor, decent defenses. Best of all, she's going to be mine. I'll christen her the Dusty Samaritan, in honor of myself of course. Security is high. They don't even let the idle bystander in a system shuttle get a peek at her. I've pulled some strings and paid some credits, and infiltrated into what I'd like to refer to as the cleaning brigade. Well, you're just a pad, I'll spill; I'm a glorified janitor. Access to everything, act dumb, scrub the deck until it polishes for the carpet to go down. Luckily for them, I've made a list of things that must occur before I make off with this ship.
Ok, its a work in progress, but I'll get it done. So far I've got engineering under my wing and I can harness the turrets into autofire mode, so the need for gunners is not there currently. Lastly...the maintenance tubes. Luckily I found a nice gimmick. A spinal access crawl way that runs the length of the ship, stem to stern. Has access points to the bridge, engineering, medical bay, even the crew quarters. As for losing her, there is an asteroid field nearby...has a junker outpost in it, trafalgar. Steer the liner into the field, get 'shot at' by the junkers (Here's hoping they miss mostly) and then disappear into a jumphole located nearby. Send out an emergency signal declaring the ship as lost due to gravitational anomaly...and make my way up to Delta. If everyone follows the plan, well, I'll be very pleased. If not, I can still pull this off. I think. If I do, the pay off is high. A royal cruise liner...massive cargo bay, hall ways full of grandeur, a casino...the list goes on. A proverbial luxury yacht...without the awful gunmetal. From here, dear pad, you and I will conduct a business operation the likes of which Sirius has only dreamed of. All thanks to that one little toy I acquired....lets hope no pesky zoners have bothered the Outrider while she's on Freeport eleven. Parsing information. Complete. Storing. Encrypting. . . . Powering down RE: Pilfered goods - TonyRistar - 12-06-2012 0500 New London Initiating Log....decrypting. Done. . . . Password required. :********* Hello again, Mr. Ristar Soon to be captain's log, the time is growing closer. I managed to get the slave circuitry rigged into the ship's computer core. Also, the captain's quarters and the bridge have had a bit of rewiring...engineering is now directly linked to command chair controls. She'll respond to my hand whenever the moment comes. Luck has struck and some of my bought men made it on board. Security teams have slowly been replaced with people I've paid off. Good. A minimal number but, enough to hold the bridge hallway until the emergency blast doors can seal, locking out the unwanted men from removing me. The docking bay is nearly complete, these Bretonians sure can put a ship together. Room for two personal fighter classes vessels or one freighter. Good. I needed a fancy way to haul the Outrider around when I'm not doing runs. Speaking of the Outrider, I got a communication out to Freeport eleven. The Neural net out that way is a half slagged piece of work held together by zoner ingenuity but it works. The Outrider is still in one piece and even better, the present in her hold is still there too. Excellent. I've put the time into equipping this liner's power core for what she'll be dealing with. Luckily they didn't spare any expenses and she outputs enough power to fuel not only some robust shields, but also the device I'll be installing. I overheard some of the construction crew talking. Seems this boat gets the full compliment. Turrets with military grade blasts, linked to the main drive core. Excellent news, as I can write that expense off. Last but not least, I need to remember to establish communications with Trafalgar and begin the staging. Her maiden voyage is coming soon, they just finished the main drive itself. Its amazing that they ripped the engines from the Dunkirk to utilize on this liner. Decrypting. Logging off. Goodbye. . . . RE: Pilfered goods - TonyRistar - 12-14-2012 1330 New London Initiating bootloader . . . Complete Initialization finished. Decrypting....finished Hello, Mr. Ristar Getting there. It happens tomorrow. I've got the procedure nailed down to a science.
Of course, that is my trimmed down to do list. A lot more is involved...but why would you care, you have no arms or legs to help. She's nearly ready. All my crews are in place. Unfortunately for them, they'll be getting off at a freeport on the way to Delta. I can't have too many loose hands and eyes on my ship after all. This beauty is exactly what the doctor ordered, the infamy...she makes it worth it. Wish me luck. Encrypting. Entering sleep mode. |
