I'm looking for a space strategy game for my Freelancer mod - SkyNet - 12-08-2012
Hey there,
I am looking for a space strategy game. I want to make a Freelancer mod for that game.
It should include the following points:
- Real time
- Research
- Diplomacy
- Colonizable planets
- Multiplayer capability
- Modifiable
Following points should be modifiable:
- Technologies
- Models like Ships, stations, planets and other objects
- Fractions
- Music, sounds and textures
- HUD
- Maps
If you know a game, please write me back. I look forward to your proposals.

3. Empire at war
+ Space add-on mod
4. Homeworld 2 (or 1)
+ Complex mod
+ or TSF 2.6 mod
+ or any other mod you like
+ or TSF 2.6 mod
+ or any other mod you like
5. Sins of a Solar Empire - Rebellion
+ any mod you like
Note: Not all include everything but just google them for reviews and so on.

Sins of a Solar Empire.
And don't get rebellion unless graphics and some superships are super important to you, Diplomacy is probably the best bet if you want lots of mods.
Your points:
-Real time or in rounds: Real Time
-Research: Complex research tree, divided into Military, Civilian, and Defense.
-Diplomacy: Send envoys to other systems, do missions for other factions.
-Colonize planets: Yup.
--Multiplayer capability: Simple to use.
-Create your own ship models: You can.
-Create your own race: You can.
-Modifiable: Very modifiable.

Well, I have the idea to rebuild Sirius in one of this games. I want to add the models of Freelancer. It must be possible to add new ship and station models. That's very important to me. I want to modify objects, weapons, graphic, maps and technologie.
I want to add Bretonia, Kusari, Liberty, Rheinland, Nomads and some Pirates.
If the game is in real time that would be perfect. ^^
What do you think? Which game can be so modified? And in which game would be worth the work?

probably Homeworld, but I think something like that was already being tried at this moment for it. Not sure though.
Sins of the Solar empire could work as well.
But such project would be quite time consuming I bet.

Space Empires 5 if you want a complex game with politics and an extensive technology tree.

homeworld 2. cant thing of anything better. look at the mod complex to see whar u can acheive.
