Looking for a games that don't take themselves to seriously - sean24 - 12-10-2012
Hi I'm looking for games, perhaps shooters or action games (can be any game though). The key feature is they have to have is they have to be chill, a bit laid back etc.
I'm getting tired of call of duty etc just trying to be over the top serious. I'd just prefer something a little 'fun'. Not just the aesthetic but the community aswell. (StarCraft, LoL etc don't look hardcore but the communities are) But that doesn't mean it has to be casual! If I wan't casual i'll go over to ios gaming.
Any suggestions, games of any genre and age appreciated!

Dungeons of Dreadmor is a brilliant little game. It's an indy rougelike RPG with a top-down, isometric play style. It uses comedy a lot so it's a good laugh. Single player, but there is a small nodding community for it.

If you want something with a little more..... "flair" I strongly suggest Journey. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_(2012_video_game)
Shadow of the Colossus or The Last Guardian (hope to god it comes soon) for Playstation are awesome too. (or comp for Colossus if you got an emulator)

I had some fun with Borderlands 2 co-op multiplayer. Post apocalyptic psycho-rpg-fps-madness. If your valet is too thin, there is a program called Tunngle that...

I would suggest Awesomenauts, you can get it on steam for like 10 bucks. It is a 2D multiplayer platformer shooter kind of thing, like smash brothers meets league of legends.
