You know what we need? A Junk planet... - sindroms - 01-07-2013 A home to the Junkers. Outdated and scrapped technology, mountains of unrecycled scrap, cities consisting of nothing but smelters and scrappers... Basically, Pittcsburgh only....retextured... Discuss. RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - Omicron - 01-07-2013 ALG urges Rheinland to invade, 80 years war mk2. Anyway, considering planet-wide piles of scrap, who would have left that? RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - Pinko - 01-07-2013 Give them the Robot planet. RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - SeaFalcon - 01-07-2013 ![]() I Do not know of what to think of this RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - ryoken - 01-08-2013 I think it is an awesome idea. Take a little snip from Andromada, and have a sun, with some planets/moons linked to it made entirely of scrap. Would take some serious modeling though, but i am sure we got players here who can do it. Or like this but with Scrap planets.
RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - onca - 01-08-2013 Nice idea. I had a similar idea ages back... all that junk present in every home system, imagine if it was gravitationally pulled into a lagrange point, to coalesces into a junk planetoid. Given long enough it might condense into an earth-sized planet, made entirely of junk. Then people could live on it. Cool. RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - AeternusDoleo - 01-08-2013 So basically we want the New York scrapfields to coalesce? This feels flood-y to me. RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - Huhuh - 01-08-2013 I think it would be awesome if the Junkers had at least some kind of massive collections of scrap in Puerto Rico. Whether it be a planet or simply a big junk pile. RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - Sayfog - 01-09-2013 Ultra Junker happy place? RE: You know what we need? A Junk planet... - Chev - 01-09-2013 Currently, I'm writing a story (nothing disco-related) which takes place on planet Caldus. Many years ago it was a new brave colony for people from Earth, but during the civil war it was devastated and unsuitable to live anymore. After some time Government decided to use the planet as a part of their new Clean Space project, which aim was to use inhospitable planets as huge "trash bins" for people. After some time, with growing numbers of criminals across the colonies and growing percentage of their escapes from prisons in space stations and populated planets, Government made a new project. It was decided to use planet Caldus as a "new home" for life sentenced criminals. No way out, only in. I won't tell more, but I believe that such planet should exist. I believe house governments and corporations should realize that debris and junk in space is not the best solution, it's dangerous for logistics and also becomes a new home and recourse source for unwanted organizations. Inhospitable, barren planet as a trash can seems a better solution. At least that's what governments should think. |
