To Liberty Navy High Command, whom it may concern,

recently, DTJ Depot was satisfactorily inspected by a pilot bearing the name [LN]-Rohj.Teerin

Was this spot-check sufficient, or do your offices need supplying with more information?

a rumor have been overheard from a certain (unnamed) [LN] pilot, that our base is illegal.
DTJ have not been asked, questioned, interrogated, or anything of the sort about this.
Is there a reason for this? DTJ only conduct legal trade within border worlds, and supply to LNS vessels. (we make sure people have correct papers for equipment before selling)
that somebody thought DTJ Depot could be even remotely illegal, came as an absolute shock to hear.
we have been, and always will be law-abiding, both in company ethos, and in conduct.

To think that a casual remark by a naval officer could have possibly resulted in the siege of our beloved home, workplace, and pride and joy.

To whomever is in charge of DTJ Inc.,

All bases within the house of Liberty are to be registered, with the appropriate licensure costs to be paid monthly. Your base is neither registered, nor has it paid any licensing fees.

In accordance with Liberty law, the calculated amount that is to be paid per month is 45 million credits. In addition to this licensure fee, a 50 million credit fine is compounded per level of the base - Meaning an additional 200 million credit fine is imposed (Our intelligence indicates your base is currently level four)

Including this months fee, the total comes to 245 million credits, payable to Ferris.Dufresne. Please provide proof of payment on this channel.

Additional monthly payments of 45 million credits are to be paid on the first of the month.

DTJ depot is in space carrying liberty jurisdiction, but not house space, therefore nullifying the original need to register.
In all the time we have been here, nobody from any lawful liberty faction has notified us of this either.

Galileo might (if [LN] are ever there) be under liberty naval jurisdiction, but, Galileo is not house space, if liberty has a port/base/planet/safe house there, we've not seen it yet.

DTJ Incorporated are willing to do what is needed in order to remain legal, but as for a fine for something that was never asked/required of us, well... we wish to appeal against that fine.

Also, why are funds to be transfered to a random name? and not the republic of liberty?

To whomever this is,

If you'd bothered to read the laws of Liberty, it clearly states in the Introduction, that for the purposes of Liberty law, ALL independent systems immediately connected to a Liberty core system are regarded as the house of Liberty. Galileo is even stated as a Zone 4 system in Section Two of the legal code.

As such, the fine will stand, as is.

Ferris Dufresne is the head of the Central Liberty Internal Treasury. Need I explain more?

Until payment has been made, your base is considered illegal - However, I'm granting you a twenty four hour grace period, starting...now. After twenty four hours, your base will become a target for the Liberty Navy.
