Ok just an idea but wat about maybe taking out a loan from the different factions. I find myself wasting time trading or taking a job to make money in order to buy a better ship. Of course the loans would be limited so a new player wouldn't take out a ten million credit loan. The loans could be paid off by doing a number of jobs or by some other method.

Loans in what way? I mean if they were paid back im happy, thats the main reason I dont give them out that much, because I dont get paid back

Welcome Johnson. As to the loans, if you are new and are in need of some help you can go to The Angels. They'll give you what you need. Whether you pay them back is left up to you.
You already seem to be an upstanding player with wanting to pay people back. I don't think you will have a problem with asking for a loan.

Hi Johnson and welcome. Unless you have a wish to join a Faction straight off, taking
a loan from one would rather tie you to them. And in the future you may wish to join
elsewhere or stay Freelance.
Best idea is to go with people like the Angels or individuals who can see you making an
effort to get into the game. Not just sitting above Manhatten and begging.
Most people will offer to help if you sound genuine. Because we all had to start in a
lowly Starflier at sometime.......

Well if you really need money you can join a faction. Just about every faction here gives money to new recruits. Though if you join for the money then leave right afterwards you will probably be hunted.
