Type 3 turrets and player base passwords - Bob_Chickman - 01-21-2013

Hello, GC Staff,

I am an admin over on the Starworlds Server, running the discovery mod, but we have some issues that need resolving. Searched many places, but couldn't find the answers;

1. While we have players coming and going, some leave for a month, then come back, so we would like to be able to access and keep alive their bases in their absence. But some players didn't leave their passwords behind, so it's hard to do some things with their bases. So is there somewhere within the server files that I can access player passwords?

2. We've tried several things, but just can't get the type 2 & 3 turrets on player bases to be available to build. What is the fix for that? Is it an update we failed to download, or an flhook issue?

The type 2 and type 3 turrets sound like an update issue. There have been quite a few releases of flhook since update 6. Here's the address for the repository.

I am also working on a base viewer program. It will tell you everything about a base from A to Z. Commodities, passwords, ally list, population, system, etc etc. Unfortunately it's not quite ready. It was going to be a base editor but I decided that was just a bit too dangerous. I'm removing the save routines and reconfiguring the interface slightly for viewing only. I'll let you know when it's done.
