I've got plans to make an alien character... still having trouble deciding what ship/ID to use for now, but needless to say the whole point of the character is to scare the bloody piss out of everyone it comes across.

Currently thinking about using a deep space explorer (kusari explorer or spatial) or some kind of transport ship, with the idea that the crew onboard 'found' the alien(s) and were slaughtered by them or taken as hostages.

I just need some info on currently known alien races (daam k'vosh, c'tan, etc.) to work the RP around them as either a new race or part of one of those.

Any suggestions on 'scary' looking ships that might be appropriate, or ID's which could be used, would be welcome.

Well really the only alien race available right now is the Nomads, and in order to gain access to them you need to be accepted by the keepers. Other than that, there's really no ID or Ship...

You'd also be able to control the Phantoms and the Slomon K'Hara (if you were a C'Tan or K'Vosh, respectively) like a bunch of ants.

Also mentioning, the C'Tan is ofcourse restricted to Phantom RP only... So I wouldn't suggest trying to base anything off that.

Anyways, there really isn't a whole lot besides what will be in the inevitable link regarding the "History of the Nomads" or whatever. Plus, good luck with this. Alot of people have robbled at this in the past... *cough* You know who you are. Although I've always been for the introduction of something like this, most others haven't been for the reason of, "Oh, they'd pwn everything with their uber technology".

And you'll probably get some of that too... Even though it probably just used its psychic mind beams and F'd with the crew. But umm... Yeah, there aren't really any "scary" ships in FL. You'd need something spikey and intimidating... Hmm... Perhaps a BH expedition? They have a reason to be around where the aliens might have been, and it'd be a change from the usual "Order in teh alien spacez" or Corsairs... Or Outcasts.

The character wont be a nomad, i've already decided on that. I was more looking at information on the political relations of the different alien super-powers to try and fit hints of an additional species in there.

Was thinking something along the lines of the phantoms, but I doubt I'd get into that faction anyways and they're really just genetically altered humans, not aliens.

If I was doing another race, I'd make it a subject race of the C'Tan or the K'Vosh. Something from outside Sirius, who in the case of the C'Tan would regard the Phantoms like the Gestapo or in the case of the K'Vosh regard the Slomon K'Hara like the military.

looking for something more fitting of the freelancer universe, though I did use zerg for that signature image.

And praetyre... that might work... basing the alien race as a subservient species to one of the existing super races - and if I went with c'tan that'd let me use the phantom ID as well (though it still requires admin/faction approval and I've had bad luck regarding that in the past... my wilde character was never approved despite the effort i put into the story =(
