Jumping in Combat... - SMGSterlin - 02-09-2013 Jumping (with a jump drive of course) while in combat with someone should count as fleeing, and the 4 hour rule should go into effect. Why is it not like this right now? Been having a certain "rogue Liberty assault carrier" abusing his jump drive, constantly jumping between two systems, getting into fights, and jumping before he can be killed. It's annoying, and it should be against the rules. RE: Jumping in Combat... - Vigilia.Procuratio - 02-09-2013 An appropriate measure might be to limit the use of the jump drive to, say, once per four hours. RE: Jumping in Combat... - Veygaar - 02-09-2013 Nah, he used it, he's smart. Tough luck. Get more firepower. RE: Jumping in Combat... - Echo 7-7 - 02-09-2013 It's not breaking any rules, and it is not likely to be considered such in the future. However, JDs could probably use with a cooldown of some sort - but that comes under balance, not rules. RE: Jumping in Combat... - ryoken - 02-09-2013 I thought a jump took a little time to charge? Can you not kill him in that time? RE: Jumping in Combat... - sindroms - 02-09-2013 A light JD powers up in 20 seconds, I think. If you cannot down him during that time, just resupply while he has jumped away. RE: Jumping in Combat... - monmarfori - 02-09-2013 I think theres a solution, try bumping carrier so the jump cant work. Oh I have an idea, let's put in game ONLY Sabre, kusari explorer Gunboat, and Liberty Carrier. Then everyone will have the same ship, same agility, same turrets/guns hardpoint and we will play in a wonderful annoying space world. Ah and do the same for cloak, it's boring cuz they become invisble and I can shoot them ! *Ironic* I am rude, but seems that it's the only way to " wake up " people here. You should all know that there are advantages/disadvantages everywhere. To you to build a tactic to avoid or get your target. It cannot stop more then 6 snubs? I am also eager to know what disadvantage the not killable in 30 seconds jumping carrier have. The carrier have only 1 mill and a bit more hullpoints not 5 mill? 30 seconds and 420 units H fuel- not that hard really. The ship can have the JD together with full guns, load of fuel and CAU8 at the same time without having any disadvantage and it is still not possible to kill. Discovery is not doing well because of the unbalanced stuff and the unbalanced base made items. If this things get fixed the people wont be annoyed by hypocrite abusers, simple as that. RE: Jumping in Combat... - Tunicle - 02-09-2013 If he is jumping get close and jump with him, carry on assault when you reappear, simples. EDIT: Not simples this would only apply to MKiV JD and LABC couldn't use unaided.
