Helgoland - Simga13 - Guyton - 06-17-2008

Rheinland indies tend to believe they can come and patrol the areas around Helgoland in sigma-13. Obviously none of them know about the 80 Years War treaty, or why they are engaged by the GMG. ALG is a civilian cooperation that the GMG has given the right to cleanup the debris left behind after the war. Rheinland Military/Police ships shouldn't be coming in S-13 to patrol it, or dock as Gas Miner Naha, or site right in front of Ogashawa without being hostile. Why aren't they patroling Rheinland? 3 Cruisers and 1 gunboat? seriously.....

I know the information, I want them to see it.

The one sided poll? One can only vote No, very amusing on your behalf.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was messed up.

I concur with Kindred, this seems in bad taste....

Maybe we should make an actual poll to see what the community thinks? I mean, lots of politics have changed since the year 806 when the Nomad War happened.

Bad taste or not, I agree. No Rheinland Police or Military pilot, indie or not, shouldn't even think of the idea of going in to Sigma 13 what so ever. The only ones you should ever see in there are the [RM] themselves, and hell, that's only to tell the clueless indies to get out.

I say no.

That just seems silly. How many Americans do you see walking into Cuba with an M-16 and a load of hand grenades?

... Oh alright, aside from Gitmo.

Sorry, I didn't see this post when I posted!

I say that Rheinlanders should be allowed into Sigma-13, but not move any further than 10k away from Helgoland Station or the trade Lane leading to it.

Why? Because it seems that Rheinland-Kusari politics are very friendly here in Disco. It would only make sense that Rheinland could pressure Kusari into making the GMG let Rheinland protect it's own citizens in Sigma-13, seeing as how the GMG have a disdain for Rheinlanders and might just ignore their cries for help when pirates pass through to Yanagi.

At the moment? That's only between the [RM] and the [KNF]. Yes there's been rumors of it happening it in the mod itself, but it hasn't. So that doesn't exactly fit, at least not yet.

If it made you feel better, looking at that one-sided poll and then kindred's poll made me laugh hard.

But anyways, no. Problem is, it's hard for the GMG to enforce such a thing, as they lack proper warships... perhaps get a group of bombers together, warn them to leave, then blow them away if they don't?
