Discovery 4.79 beta 4 Release - Igiss - 05-01-2006 Discovery 4.79 beta 4 Release Due to delayed release of 4.79, I'm presenting a new beta that fix many bugs and balance issues not only left from previous beta releases, but remaining since older versions of Discovery. Beta 4 also adds several new items. Changelog below. 4.79.1, 4.79.2 and 4.79.3 are no longer available for download. Some ships have less turrets than before, some have more. - Hit points of battleships now reflect their in-game size. Battleships now have either tougher hull, or better power supply. - Damage and energy usage of capital ship weaponry rebalanced. - Power of gunboat, cruiser and battleship shields rebalanced. - Reduced number of nanobots and shield batteries that capital ships can carry. - Prices for all capital ships updated (readme contains correct information now). - Gunboats became more maneuverable. - All NPC capital ships are tougher now. - Loadouts of singleplayer Rheinland capships changed to make missions easier. - Fixed NPCs on Battleship Ark Royal (names did not display correctly). - Talon has a turret now, Talon weapon hardpoints corrected. - Raven Claw has one thruster instead of two. - Taiidan Heavy Fighter rear turret fixed. - X-Shuttle weapons and description fixed. - Nova damage radius increased to 150, Supernova damage radius reduced to 200. - Damage of Marsflyer turret significantly reduced. - Location and direction of Battleship Isis changed. - Music changed for new systems, sound effects for new weapons made more variable. - Corrected and completed many infocards. - Ioncross hash files completed. |
