LSF in O-Kappa - Srkad - 06-20-2008
I was flying through kappa and I came across an LSF, he told me that O-Kappa was an LSF ZOI...this had me really confused, so is O-Kappa a LSF ZOI? and why? it makes no sense to me, being so far from liberty and so close to the corsair home system.

O-Kappa, isn't in our ZOI... But sometimes it is the only place where the recruit can get some pieces of equipment when Leaders are offline.
Was it a =LSF= or an LSF indie?

Not that far from Liberty if you use the Alaska route. As to whether he should be there... I suppose the LSF might mount occasional recon missions out there, what with the Order and Nomads being out there, but they shouldn't be waltzing around there constantly. He might just have been getting a Supernova, though.

Well, er, the ZOI of the LSF is debatable. I don't see a problem with him being in O-Kappa as long as he has a legit RP excuse and he is not being seen. He shouldn't let anyone come within 10k of him.

The LSF, strictly speaking, can basically go anywhere they please, as long as they make a decent attempt at not being found in the process. They're liberty's intelligence service/FBI, they do whatever's necessary to protect the homeland...

Omicron kappa is the same ZOI for LSF as New York for Corsairs.

While the Corsairs have no interest in Liberty, the LSF has a great interest in abnormal, potentially threatening things such as Nomads, monkeys and robots, and certainly when they connect to Omicron Delta, which has navy patrols, of all things, and when said Monkeys, Robots and Slomon K'Hara inhabit entire planets in Omicron Kappa...

Well this is a tricky one. Zone of Influence is kind of like territory or turf. Since the Omicron Kappa system is a Nomad controlled system, I know Primus and Gammu are Zoner bases but do you see any Zoners NPC's flying around? I never have.
Well the LSF can send a small recon force out there to 'assess' the Nomad strength and The Order in the process. MUST HAVE RP FOR THIS!!
I have come across an increasing amount of LSF craft flying though the Omicrons lately. If they are picking up weapons, I don't like it but if I'm in a good mood I let it slide. However, if I see a gunboat or higher I WILL supernova you. Fighters I got no quarrel.
One thing is sure, I hate seeing independent Liberty Assault Battlecruisers flying through the Omicrons! They don't even attempt an RP.
SUMMARY:
Come into Omicrons with good RP LSF, and we can all have fun.
When it comes to weapons, I recommend no capitals and 1 fighter as proof. Only fair.

One other thing to consider here: There's liberty navy NPC's all over omicron delta, and kappa is only a jump away.
Most people going to omicron kappa are going there for equipment - there really isnt anything else in the system, and it's one of the few places to buy top grade armor, weapons, and the supernova cannon for non order-aligned players.

well, he said he was buying weapons, but i think an =LSF= member (which he was, he was not an indie) needs to take precautions before going in there, that would most likely include like some of you have said, "not being detected" i could of had an rp reason to just open up on his ship.
