Uhh, Red is a woman, and that is the Transistor weapon... Only thing I can recall about it, is that its used as both a weapon, and method of narration to tell the story.

Judging by the trailer, yeah it looks average, but if you didn't check out other material on this yet I'd recommend Totalbiscuit's look at it from Pax East, where they explain the gameplay more indepth. Kinda Action-Tactic-Mix.
Looks quite interesting - that reminds me - still have to play through Bastion.
