Can golden chrysanthemum characters use kusari ships (namely the catamaran), or do they need to use the blood dragon versions instead?

They really shouldnt be using either stricktly speaking, they should be using civilian ships.

Blood Dragon or Civilian ships, the Kusari Military ones are for the Kusari Military. It's like Bundschuh with Wraths, same idea, works in SP but doesn't fly here. Sorry Tenacity, no sexy Kusari caps for the GC.

wasnt asking for caps =P
And btw, there are plenty of blood dragon npc's in kusari dragon fighters... still, guess if I go through with the GC character ill wind up using a blood dragon bomber instead of the kusari version...

I'm seconding this for emphasis. As much as I agree with and enjoy speaking with Kurraine, I really don't think they should be using anything outside the civilian line unless they are the matriarch of the GC.

That's because there was no Blood Dragon ship in the SP campaign, and the normal Dragon was the only one that fit their RP. If you'd be so kind as to nudge up to one, you'd find that they're a nice tint of pinkish red, though...

Me too. BD get BD ships. BD ships are heirlooms, hand made, parents teach their children the particular idiosyncrasies of each ship, etc...they don't hand them out at all often.

sorry but i aint using a preagle over the BD or kusari bomber, i know the GC can use the blood dragon bomber (seen plenty with it), was just curious about the 'normal' version.

Kusari caps are sexy?
Their gunboat is the ugliest ship in the game. (Sorry KNF.)
Although, their Destroyer handles/feels like a GB.

all i'm talking about here is the bomber.
Really, GC either need their own ships or should have access to kusari ships. The civilian line does not fit -any- criminal group aside from the gaians and xenos, who dont have the resources to get anything better or develop their own ships.
And, well, I like the kusari/dragon bombers, those things are quick little buggers =P

the GC is as well equipped and organized as the corsairs? - it took the corsairs decades to build the titan and the centurion - not to mention a lot of knowledge and manpower. - do the GC have the same resources like them?
the GC i see fly civi ships - ( the vanilla GCs ) - civi ships fit to all those factions that haven t had a shipyard initially. they may use BD ships or maybe even salvaged kusari ships - but not on a regular base. - the common GC will prolly consider the eagle to be the best of the best - some special GCs might fly different ships of course.
imo - we shouldn t be too lax with giving out ships to factions left and right. - if we did, it means that those factions that actually had their own ships are no special ( not to mention that they are to be considered dumb for taking so long to make their own ships - or how would we explain that the corsairs needed dozens of years to build a ship - while some minor faction does the same in a few years / months. )
so, i think you can fly BD stuff - if the BDs give it to you. - you can fly kusari stuff, if the kusari gives it to you. you can fly civi stuff - if you can afford it.
