New to the whole factions thing - Redheart - 06-25-2008
I just arrived in system around 2 weeks ago. I have been working as a small time trader/ pirate hunter. Im looking to get my zoners id card so that i can do both. Who would be a good faction to join to do these things. I want a faction that is medium size and active. Please assist me in looking into the right places.

when I was growing up on Manhatten, I kinda wanted to go into a military type of affiliation. I father was a trader but he was always gone on runs and now that I am older and have some space time under my belt. I am beginning to think that trading is ok for those guys who like it and to start a new beginning and to assist in the credit bank for the affiliation of whatever part you are in but it gets boring.
I seen the other day a pirate come into liberty space. Man she was tearing it up, her ship was sweet. But she got into the trade lanes and began to attack random traders. Shoot first and then ask questions. I was hiding in the mine fields because I know she would have tore up my startracker. But then she got spotted by the Liberty Security Force who called in the Liberty Navy for the firepower to deal with her.
She took off faster then a hacker whos ship is on fire. I just sat back and watched those ships fly bye me thinking maybe I would like to help protect people like my father. Maybe.....
Can anyone tell me how I begin looking into that?

A lawful faction like the BPA, RFP, or KNF may be the right choice.
Zoners may trade, but they should not be hunting pirates regularly.
