About Conn - Spike Seadra - 06-01-2013

Connecticut is getting crowded day by day...Every time i see, most and many of the players are pewing in conn and their respective systems are almost empty.
When i want to go some place for RP...."No one" or "2 lvl 5 ships".
Then i decide to stay in conn and pew pew some one 'cause i have no other thing to do.
This way all the time is passed in conn.
What about you people ? Do you all have the same thing as mine ?

Yes. The map should be smaller so it would be easy to find fun outside of conn when you are in the mood for shooting.

If the map would be smaller then there will be less things to explore and exploration is the fun.Or you can say less players to "Search And Destroy".
Conn problem started after admins released /conn command, this wasn't in 4.85.

Get rid of conn, and make people train in guard systems?

All PvP only players are now in conn... This way the people that would only play RP to shoot you just for the sake of said shooting are gone. But the common systems are empty thats right conn and jumpdrives reduced the traffic alot.

I don't like conn. I would like to see it gone. But that is not going to happen...

Further more, now people use conn to transfer their guns and equipment.
After their transfer they stay their and test the new guns by pewing for few hours.
Lags are increasing in conn due to the crowd.So PvP/pew is also getting harder in it.

1.yes i agree with this,it should stay that way..unless you want more shoot on sight in the normal systems
2.there's nothing to do with coon or jump drives ,but everything to do with the size of map and trade,mining fields..being too balanced
Less balancing,less trade fields will make players to have the opportunity to meet each other, while still allowing others who say "exploring is fun" to continue say that,even if there's nothing to explore since all data is available to the players by start..

Now, there are total 152 systems in the whole sirus and 225 players slot.
If 1 player goes in each system and the rest of all are also divided then there would be only 1 or 2 people in a system.
Or if all players are in 30 or 40 systems then the rest of the systems would be empty.

While yes, a lot of people are in conn at peak times, very few of them actually stay there the whole time. If you're flying alone out there it can get quite boring unless you have a personal objective set in your mind...therefore if you still want to play then you're going to want to interact with players OoRP in a casual pew system.

I wouldn't say it's that bad really. Maybe people just miss being able play OoRP, I don't know.

Exploration isn't fun, two weeks playing the mod and you've seen all there is to see.

What makes people stick around is fun with other people they meet (or don't meet) in space.

That's the reason why NY is so messed up - people go there because other people go there, it's the one place you are guaranteed to have fun.

50% of the jumpholes/systems gone, pls, and then you can remove Conn if you want.
