Question about Freelancer ID - belarusich - 06-05-2013

Can Freelancer, which works for lawfuls(Bretonia, for example) kill Unlawful freelancers? For example, this is players, which are attacked by lawful NPCs.

And, can freelancer defend his lawful POB from unlawfuls? For example, he works for rheinland lawfuls and hessian attacks his POB

RE: Question about Freelancer ID - Hone - 06-05-2013

A freelancer can do whatever he is hired to do. If he is being payed to attack Unlawful freelancers he can do so, if he is being paid to defend a base, he can do so. Hes not supposed to do much without being paid for it.

Yeah if he isn't paid directly and make people aware of that or if he isn't signed up on any bounty boards, all non-self defence pew is sanctionable.

I mean, Freelancer is owner of POB. And this POB is attacked. Can he defend it?

I saw in another thread that if your PoB is attacked, that may also be considered an attack on YOUR ship, so yes a FL would be able to defend it against attack.

However, nobody has bothered to post any violation reports on this subject. The fact that you're neither lawful nor unlawful doesn't mean you can be lawful or unlawful at will, SMG - that's why the Freelancer ID doesn't permit a whole lot. If it did, noone would bother playing in an actual faction anymore.

Some examples for your first question would be if they are specifically bountied on any boards you are registered to, or if the unlawful mercenary jumps into a battle you are already in.

Fairly sure you've been asked not to saying that in a previous thread or two. Rather an open statement that easily could encourage some pretty bad behaviour.
