If you're using a generic Nomad ID (now available), without involving the official factions, you have no chance whatsoever to get the Wilde ID simply from missions or whatever.
I figured as much although I was hoping there was a way other than joining a player faction. Is there a reason for this other than that people think it would be OP if everyone had a Wild character?
So there is no way of joining the wild NPC faction? Becasue I't might be that someone wants to RP as a wild and just has no interest in official faction responsabilities?
Don't think so, but could be wrong. When I was Nomad trial ID before, I docked at Wild bases looking for missions for them to switch faction over to Wild. Didn't see any offered at any Wild bases visted.
If you're using a normal Nomad ID, and are trying to dock at Wild bases, then you are outside of the Omicrons, which is a violation of your ID.
That's a no-no.
As for WHY there are no indie Wild, it's because the faction is closed and invite only, and the reason for that is because we don't want a bunch of Wild running all over Rheinland/Kusari, shooting all things they see.
Not with "Nomad Trial" ID it's not, I'm not talking about doing a RESTART Nomad. Before I took a normal ship account into a system, can't remember name and took the JH (below the plain) and bought trial id from the only base in that system. Don't have that account now anyway, not even sure if Nomad Trial ID is used on server anymore?
But trial id allowed you to fly outside Omicrons, but limited you to the light fighter and you could only attack another player in self-defence. Don't think the trial id even had guns you could mount at first, only a CD if I remember right?
Where I might have been at fault, having just searched the forums on that ID. I now see you can only dock at the Shrine using it, were you buy the id from. So maybe I shouldn't have been docking at Wild bases, but could have sworn I read Cannon's post about the id back then saying you could dock at Nomad and Wild bases with it.
