The goal of the faction, and anything we do as a faction, is to improve our part of the Disco mod story, make it more interesting, give it direction, all the things I said before...I suppose that when you look at group activities, or things done as/for the faction, the focus there would be Loreplay.
That isn't to say however, that individual members of the [LN] don't have personal Roleplay things going on either, that isn't forbidden, why would it be? Part of creating an interesting character is being able to play them how you will (within reason), and develop them into their own in-depth persona.
This is a Roleplaying server, the [LN] is definitely a Roleplay oriented faction, it always has been (As far back as I can remember), and that won't change under my leadership either.
When this community stops being populated by people who actually enjoy Roleplaying, and when stories stop being interesting, I simply won't play here anymore.
As I said before, it was the idea of creating interesting, in-depth characters, developing their stories and playing out their lives, that is interesting to me, and that's what got me into Discovery, that's what got a lot of people into Discovery, a chance to Roleplay in a pretty unique environment.
If this game were based solely on PVP, it wouldn't be as successful as it has been. It would have likely died a long, long time ago.
I know that all, I am playing my characters in the same way. But the one thing, is that I also consider that if someone have asked for "my" faction's help, I must go and help, not relly on some invisible ships. That's my point. If I am looking for RP interactions with other players only, I log ships that don't have to answer any calls. FL ided for example. A little hint. Some people discovered "off duty" ships, specially to avoid any mess they don't like, and fly only to RP their characters.

And it's not that I'm saying we don't have to answer calls, members of the [LN] usually do. Sometimes we don't, sometimes we're occupied with other stuff, or sometimes we're about to log off and do other things. It happens, but for the most part, we, as a faction, do "our job".
