As you well know, Kusari engineering is very effective. The many battles we have both seen in the Taus and Leeds is testament to that. Alas, it seems so long ago now, does it not? But, yes, quite effective, but only when properly repaired. Unfortunately, the Gallic threat has caused many problems for both of our nations. We will certainly not back down, and I believe all of Bretonia feels the same?
So, with that in mind, the Awaji Battlegroup has been severely damaged in recent months and, as such, requires a shipyard with full mooring support for repairs. As our Great and Righteous Emperor has yet to return to Kusari to acquire that for us, we believe the best option would be if we were to do these repairs at Scarborough Station. We are willing to purchase a good percentage of raw materials needed from local sources, in exchange.
I have spoken with my associates and we believe it would be in your best interest to allow such maintainence on our obviously superior ships, if you wish to stand a chance against the Gallic menace, of course. If you choose suicide, that is, of course, your prerogative.
Please let me know your choice as soon as you are able.
It cannot be doubted that you still have your pride, Admiral-sama. It would be fruitless to debate the differences in our nations' warships in any great detail, but Bretonia and yourselves are keenly aware of one similarity: neither has the numbers to stand against Gallia unprepared.
Although I am personally only involved in the civilian side of matters, the traffic reports, if my memory serves me well, suggest the Awaji group is based to the south of Leeds. Regardless of their deployment, no ship can survive without maintenance.
I believe the original work on your remaining forces was carried out at Southampton, but that is rather busy with our Armed Forces' repairs and other constructions to come.
I am unsure as to Scarborough's ability to service your warships, but I do know that its use and administration is handled by our own Borderworld Exports. I've opened this channel to them, and they'll be free to organise it as they wish.
