We have a situation that perhaps you can assist with.

An organization called Cerberus has apparently set up shop on Lanus Archipelago, Planet Wichita, Kansas system.

According to my intelligence, they have historically been affiliated with The Order. Normally this wouldn't be an issue - I'm aware of certain matters in the region that may have drawn your attention. However, they claim to have a stockpile of nuclear and chemical weapons, and have implied that they will use them against civilians if we do not cede to their as-yet-undefined demands.

I don't know how much or what kind of information you're willing to give out here. But you have taken on the duty of protecting all of humanity - Cerberus seems to be acting in direct counter to that. Anything you can give us that would be useful against them would be appreciated. If necessary, I can send a pilot from Merak wing to meet you to discuss the matter in person.

For the moment we are attempting not to provoke them, but we will not be threatened in our own home.

Thus far, there has been little more than grandstanding. Frankly, we have yet to see any actual activity from the organization. I understand that the Order is quite skilled in undercover work and your cloaking technology is well-known, but that would only explain so much.

You have been granted read-only access to the channel where Kane is addressing the matter.

If there weren't threats of chemical weapons, we would have simply purged them from the system as soon as they tried threatening our civilians. Under the circumstances, however, we cannot take that chance.

I will tell you neccesities, information that will give you some clearer picture but is insufficient to inflame situation any further. After all, Overwatch itself is the only judical system Overwatch itself recognizes...

I used to know Cerberus battlegroup founder and first C.O. personally. He always stood on the side of the big picture rather than to devote resources into any form of frontline - sneaky and defensive you could say. He turned paranoid and his madness brought him to his own demise. Comm you received is strangely artificial... as if AI handled it. It may be just my assumption but we will do our research.

Cerberus kept mostly to themselves, sporadically being in touch with us. After our investigation is completed, we will choose appropriate course of action and in worst case - reclaim the assets by force if we have to. I do not think it will come to this but neccesity to prepare contingencies for any development is important in our line of work.

For now, convince them to set their so called defense to actually "defend" rather than to answer in pre-emptive action. We will monitor this channel for more intel.

As we gather information, they have mentioned something about shot down envoy of theirs. No matter what, I want to listen to both sides story before passing a judgement. I also inquire on your fleet's current status - precisely safety of your ships in vincinity of planet Wichita. If situation escalates more, this location will be compromised.

Their "envoy" was a Raven's Talon that the VCS Metropolis detected as active in the Cortez system. We met it in Magellan with a Sabre, a Roc, and a Tridente. Overkill? Maybe, but they were active and in the area. After some very one-sided discussion in which we asked questions and he gave crap answers, he finally threatened to -- and I quote -- "use the red button".

We don't take threats well.

I sincerely hope his pod made it back to the nearest starbase that would accept him.

Our fleet's current status includes two dozen snubcraft and freighters, half a dozen transports, two gunships, and a makeshift carrier, all of which are safe. The Metropolis is currently not suitable for combat, as it is under reconstruction still in the Baffin system.
