Hey guys. I was wondering if there is any way to view the freelancer disco models with a program of sorts as they would be in space but without a background and being able to simply select the file and open it (Idea is for use in signatures etc to get different angles of ships....) Thanks in advance.

Look for a program called HardCMP. Once downloaded, use it to navigate to your freelancer dir >DATA > SHIPS etc etc, and then you can view wireframe/simple textured models of the ships.

Use this to open model file (.cmp).

You're.. not going to get sig quality stuff from hardCMP. For decent renders you'd want to import them into 3dsmax or Maya or something.
