Xavier didn't like brooding on this, it reminded him too much of his impending mortality.
"You're the more popular one these days though. The true born Noble with a flair for warfare charging through enemy lines makes for a great sell over in the Core...and being pretty does not harm the cause either."
Xavier said those words as a matter of fact, and with calculated intent. He was fully aware of how vain she could be, and knew that feeding her petty ego would be a good way to keep her on his side. Mildly irritating, perhaps...but certainly worth the bother.
