As many of you know, I recently married Max DeVirgo, Guildmaster of the BHG| and BHG|Core. We were expecting to have a happy announcement in the near future regarding our expanding family.
Instead, it falls to me to let those of you who know Max as a friend, a brother, and a leader that he is no longer capable of fulfilling his job. He was traveling with a convoy of Core ships from Dabadoru and they were ambushed by enemies unknown - although we suspect, quite honestly, that it was some Zoners.
In any event, his emergency suit was breached and his spinal column has been severed. So while Max is still alive, he is on life support and nearly in as poor physical shape as his predecessor, George Graves.
Therefore, it comes to me to announce that I am taking Max with me to seek medical help from where ever I can find it for him, as is my duty as his wife. Since he is no longer capable of running the Guild at all - in accordance with the chain of command, the job of Guildmaster for both the Bounty Hunters Guild and the BHG|Core now is in the capable hands of Guildmaster Stoat.
I know that Max reposed a special trust in Stoat that he had with no other man, and I am sure that Stoat will lead the Guild to that special place in Sirius that Max had hoped it would find.
Please pray for Max if it is within your capability or if you are religious - he's been a good man, a special friend, and I love him dearly.
