That's sad, because we actually WANT lawfuls and freelancers to dock on Oceana, as we want it to be an excellent buying and selling location for people around Liberty, Bretonia, and the Taus.
Not all bases are for lolwuttery. Please don't lump them all together.
While I agree with the sentiment Laddie, the fact is that all PoBs lag the server.
This shoddy mix of old and new code... ...much like a '70 Mach 1 Mustang with an '89 Ford transmission, 2012 brake pads gabbing '08 rotors, and a retro-fitted fuel tank and modified Dodge fuel pump...
...they just ain't meant to go together - not smoothly anyway.
Add 100 or so PoB's and their constantly running code, a couple fleets firing on said PoBs, and additional running code for dockings and such, and the whole damn thing breaks down.
That's where we're at, essentially.
The question isn't whether PoBs are cool, or good for RP, of course they are.
They just pooch up the server.
It's pretty simple, really.
Or, rather, it ought to be.... *stares at the devs*

If you have no motivation for logging, maybe you do something wrong? I mean I´m logging to have interaction with players and continue building RP relations with some of them on my chars. It´s not about equipment, ships or POB´s or any other shiny toys. This is RP server, so did you try RP too?
I am happy with chatting to players I find it fun...I'm tired of the lag time, crashes, and the whole BS of the basses. In the real world I work extremely hard doing the best I can do keeping people happy. So when I want to relax and have fun I don't want to be bothered with Lag times, time-outs, or crashes. Give me a reason why I shouldn't pay $15.00 a month to go back to WOW. Yes I am a high level there too.

I would just like to point out that I never get lag from the POBs...looks like that's just me >_>
But really I could care less about POBs. They can be fun, they can make the game harder, they can bring RP (it's also fun to make people see that they aren't invincible around them)...but I had just as much fun when they weren't here as I do when they are. I enjoy them cause they add a little more to the server and it's game play...but wouldn't really care if they went ka-put...

Hello yes I chat and enjoy thr RP it's the damn lag and being kicked off because of time outs so why should I log in again, the bases don't bug me, I'm neutral, but I understand when my sys crashes, or I loose my connection for any reason. I'll dock and sign off. If I can't RP a bounty a good fight with NPC's cause of lag time and I'm not able to get a solid shot what is the point of wasting time, my rep falls for the faction because I can't complete the mission. Well that is my point. and the POB are lagging the system
