Slightly off topic but I think if you combined a FPS with Freelancer (to put it simply without going into detail),

I think that would be a brilliant MMO!!

Thoughts?

WoW is for those unfortunate few that are cross eyed & cant aim a gun or ship & will end up looking like Cartman in the SP episode featuring WoW.

Air Rivals was fun... Then the closed beta ended, my character was wiped, and I realized the game was alllll grind. I hate grind.

Hmm let me see. In order of playing.

First MMO: Runescape (In the time before it became crap, the world was 3d but the things that moved were all 2d.) I will never forget it because I made a friend in there and even though none of us play that thing anymore we talk every now and then.

Second: Subspace (If you want to degrade your mind in probably on of the most foul mouthed people in the world go here) Side note: I still play it when I am near my breaking point and I feel like I need to kill some idiot.

Third: Gunbound (quit after 6 months) nothing gained, nothing lost.

Fourth: Shattered Galaxy (Learned about it from the Subspace guys, I quit in a week).

Fifth: Navyfield (A nice place for capwhores because that is all there is) Plus you get to see in massive battles more torpedoes begin shot in the first 2min than what was used in all the wars involving torpedoes put together. I like this game the most.

Sixth: Discovery (I come in every now and then)

Been here since Discovery 4.77 (lurk mode engaged)

Zapp Wrote:I have recently met and discussed with Atalawohisdi the trader that flies the Caribe. Just so everyone knows, I engaged in Sigma 13. He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.

He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.

- Best day ever. Cool

Again, I say Earth & Beyond. Just for atmosphere alone.

This is someone testing the emulator, but you get a real dose of the music and graphics. Gameplay was never really finished, but was good for what it was.

i think all of the ones we have seen in the past and up to now, including WoW, are mostly crap.

The best is yet to come. Just imagine Freelancer with full dynamic economy. It will whoopass anything out now.
