Starr had already considered that possibility before coming to the meeting. Even so, he was glad by the fact that was Voncloud that nominated him. He admired very much the old Mandalorian.
"Me? Well, I do accept it..." - Starr took a big sip of his whiskey - "I won't say I never thought about it, but I do feel glad by the nomination."
Another sip and the glass was empty. He then turns to Voncloud.
"Jerard, I understand what you say, since I was vice-president of the Board for a while now... But some here may not know that it was you that first promoted me to Advisor to this Board. If I am to be the new CEO, I would still look to you for guidance, and as security director I feel you should be the Vice-President of the Board of Directors."
Starr raises his hand to drink more whiskey, only then remembering that the glass was already empty. He then looks around to the other people there.
"Now, we only need to know if the other members of the board agree to have me as CEO... Man! I can talk very seriously when I drink... I need more whiskey! Sam? Lots of ice, please..."

Isaac looked up from his notes and grabbed his drink. "I vote to approve David Starr as the next CEO of OSI- " Isaac looked to David toasted his glass and took a healthy gulp while motioning for another

Sam the waiter was already returning with his whiskey. Starr picked it up, took a sip and nodded to Nemo.
"Thanks. Of course, since you seconded Von's nomination, it was expected. But those two being silent all this time is making me nervous!" - looks at Marie and Tunicle - "Man, I can feel the suspense in the air! " - David smiles at the two, drinking more scotch - "Hmmm, I better slow down on this thing..."

Nodded to the brief history lesson on Davids promotion and to the fact he would be vice president to the board
"Of course, i have no issue being your wingman in this, ill do my best to lend my experience to you"
He swigs his cider a small grin spreading over his muzzle "Of course, if im to be 'Vice president, that would mean there is a President. Perhaps we can shake things up a little and remove the title of CEO and rename it President of OSI"
After listening intently, as his normal wont Tunicle clears his throat, "I have no problems with what is being suggested, although President seems a little pretentious" he chuckled "remember our roots, maybe General Secretary is better or even Director-General."
"I agree with you, Tunicle, 'president' sounds a little pompous indeed. But... General? Eh, that's kinda too much, no? Why not 'El Comandante'? Hehe" - smiles at Tunicle - "Sorry, sorry, I'm joking... But let's leave that for another time, perhaps? It's just a name, anyway... CEO is fine for now."
