Cap'n Crunch Sr. is the very battle hardened commander. He used to command fleets in the great war, from the Darkwing flagship Cruncher. His tactical marvels are historic. His accomplishments moved him to the top of command with Darkwing. His career was long as was the war. He was a little busy though and did have two sons, Crunch and BamBam. Both Military brats so to speak as Admiral Crunch back then found time to make kids not care for them. As he was busy in war and all. Now with no big war to fight and up in his age the Grand Warship Cruncher was decommissioned and He was expected to Retire. That lasted for a couple weeks he almost went nuts. Then he found out a large number of his crew refused reassignment. He went to the DarkWing council and petitioned for a smaller command.They didn't want to give it but could not turn down a hero. He was given command of a old Battle Cruiser with a completely volunteer crew of loyal warriors, lowered his rank to Captain and sent him deep into the outer rim, as he asked to keep a watchful eye.
