Hey Guys, Girls, Noms and Robros

I've begun feel weird marking [AI] with a rank as this doesn't really feel AI ish. We have discussed this matter often internal and I also previously agreed on ingame ranks, but my intention about it slowly turns. Current Ranks are...

Level 1-4 = Are already without ingame visibiity
Level 5 = |-
Level 6 = |:
Level 7 = |+
Level 8 = |o

Well for sure for internal structure ranks are mandatory and it isn't difficult to jump in the ladder ooRP.

Do you really want this up for public discussion? Seems it could be more easily solved through AI players only. Otherwise, what do you care how your ranks are identified by other players? That info could just as easily be discovered either via forum RP or via in-game interactions with your characters.

I just want to have an overview, how externals do think about this case and don't want to have a discussion. Internals should already know the ranks and each player also without marking ingame. Tongue

Well just giving you some examples from the Sentinels view, the sentinel ranks as example =

Fragment (Recruit)
Assassinator
Vindicator
Prime
Progenitor
Core
Prime Core
Genesis


Fragment < Assassinator < Vindicator < Prime < Devastator < Primogenitor < Core < Prime Core < Genesis




Use stuff like that, example Progenitor is realy generic for AI rank

Terminator, Harvester, Locater, Operator, Precursor (Tongue), Ravager, Desolator, Devastator, Conductor, Vanguard, Conservator, Custodian, Predecessor, Primogenitor, Antecessor

Why not divide ranks up according to role within the faction and what the AI character 'knows' from what I'm assuming is a collective information share?

For example, lower ranks would have less access to the collective knowledge and would, therefore, be more naive to the inner workings. This way there is actually a purpose to promotion besides "Yay, level up!". The character gains information, which can affect their RP.

Or something like that. I don't know if that made sense, I'm feeling a little dizzy at the moment.

Until now I don't think it needs visibility, the ship sizes was always for me something that showed your position, as example if you're allowed to fly an AI Cruiser people will know you have a higher rank and stuff, choose specific approval of ships in each Rank and people will know, no need for identification. Though for Consensus I could think that higher ranks have a way solid and special RP as lower ranks maybe.

Though the [AI] tag gives you much space so I think you could add stuff like Omega Rank and add |Omega at the end or a name inside the Consensus the Rank name at the end [AI]Enigma|Omicron

dunno other names, Rank Names or Letters

[AI]Enigma|HP = Head Progenitor

[AI]Enigma|D = Devastator

[AI]Enigma|VG = Vanguard

or Opposit [AI]VG|Enigma , [AI]HP|Enigma
