Ships lost to banned safekeeper

So, couple of days ago I install Freelancer and downlaod the new mod to check it out and see who's around. I like what I see, but the next thing I know is that Duvleske, the guy keeping my ships for me, got banned and my ships stripped away with the sanction. It was at least a couple of billions worth in ships, if not more, and honestly, starting from scratch may perfectly well disencourage me from returning. Is there a way to retrieve at least some of my former wealth?

Ships are undoubtedly irretrievable by now and indefinitely banned players lose all ships, shared and unshared.

I just had bad luck here you know. I bet lots of you have done this before, take a break, leave your ships to someone, get them back when you're around again. I just happened to give them to a banned person this time.

Not asking for a full restitution either, I would easily set with 500M.
